Our story
We started as Queensland Ready Kits in November 2025, running a transparent preparedness company for Australians facing fire, flood, and storm seasons—without the fear-mongering, hidden subscriptions, or US-centric gear lists.
Emergency preparedness shouldn't rely on fear tactics
I'm Matt, and I started Be Ready Australia because I was frustrated with the emergency preparedness industry. Every kit I researched was either overpriced, filled with US-centric gear that didn't make sense for Australian conditions, or marketed with fear-based messaging that made preparation feel overwhelming instead of empowering.
Living on the Sunshine Coast, I've watched bushfire seasons arrive earlier, flood warnings become routine, and storm cells intensify. But when I looked for quality emergency kits for my own family, I found suppliers who wouldn't show their pricing, wouldn't list their BOMs, and relied on red flashing banners to create urgency.
So I built what I wanted to find: emergency kits with transparent pricing, detailed item lists, Australian suppliers, and educational content that respects your intelligence. No subscriptions, no upsells, no fear-mongering—just honest preparedness products designed for Queensland's unique challenges and expanding nationwide.
